At
the Lakme Fashion Week, fashion designer Krishna Mehta paid tribute to the
craftsmanship of an isolated and neglected region of India, i.e., Manipur with
her winter collection. Krishna Mehta has
gone out of her comfort zone to explore and use the weaving and handloom story
of this North Eastern state, thus fetching it at the front of Indian fashion
with an international appeal.
